How do I create an account?
Visit hidurl.com and click Sign Up Free. Enter your name, email address, and a password. You'll receive a verification email - click the link in it to activate your account. Once verified, you can log in and start shortening URLs immediately.
How do I shorten a URL?
After logging in, go to your Dashboard and paste any long URL into the input field. Click Shorten - your shortened link will appear instantly. You can also create short URLs without an account from the homepage, but you won't be able to track clicks or edit them later.
How do I verify my email?
After registering, check your inbox for an email from HidURL. Click the verification link inside. If you don't see it, check your spam folder. You can also request a new verification email from your dashboard by clicking Resend Verification.
What is a custom alias?
A custom alias lets you choose the short code in your URL. Instead of a random code like hidurl.com/ab3x9, you can create hidurl.com/my-brand. Custom aliases are available on all plans including Free. Aliases must be unique and are subject to our reserved words policy.
Can I use HidURL without an account?
Yes - you can shorten URLs from the homepage without signing up. However, anonymous URLs cannot be edited, have analytics, or be managed. We recommend creating a free account to get full control over your links.
