URL Management

How to create, edit, organize, and delete your shortened URLs.

How do I edit a shortened URL?

Go to Dashboard → My URLs and find the link you want to edit. Click the edit (pencil) icon to change the destination URL or the custom alias. Link editing is available on Starter plans and above. Free plan users can view their links but cannot edit them after creation.

Can I delete a URL?

Yes. Go to Dashboard → My URLs, find the link, and click the delete (trash) icon. Deleted links immediately stop redirecting - anyone who clicks the old short URL will see a 404 page. This action cannot be undone.

What are custom aliases?

Custom aliases let you personalize the short code in your URL. For example, hidurl.com/summer-sale instead of hidurl.com/xk29z. Available on all plans. Aliases can only contain letters, numbers, and hyphens. Minimum 3 characters.

How do reserved aliases work?

Some short codes are reserved and cannot be used as custom aliases - these include common words like 'login', 'admin', 'help', 'api', etc. If your chosen alias is reserved, you'll see an error and need to pick a different one.

Is there a limit on how many URLs I can create?

Yes - limits depend on your plan. Free plan users can create up to 100 URLs per month. Starter allows 250/month, Pro allows 1,000/month, and Bulk/Enterprise plans have higher or unlimited limits. Check your current usage on the Usage page in your dashboard.
